Standard Fees

Quoting Formula

Estimate the time taken to do a job, if you are unsure ask your manager or a senior practitioner.

Estimate how much time will be spent by whom on the job.

Apply the applicable hourly rate(s) plus GST based on the time that is likely to be spent by each person on the job:

 

                                                   Principle                                                     $350 p/hr

Senior Accountant                                  $250 p/hr

Intermediate Accountant                       $200 p/hr

Junior Accountant                                  $150 p/hr

Graduate Accountant                            $125 p/hr

Bookkeeper                                              $100 p/hr

 

Add in any applicable disbursements we are likely to incur e.g. audit fees, phone calls, postage and handling etc (usually set a maximum of $50 for this, except for external audit fees which will be charged out at cost plus 10%)

Individual Returns

Group certificate, no other income, basic deductions, take less than 25 minutes to prepare, does not need to be reviewed by Senior Practitioner

Group certificate plus other income sources such as shares, basic deductions, takes more than 25 minutes to prepare, does not need to be reviewed by Senior Practitioner

Individual and Rental Property

 

Group certificates, various other incomes, several deductions and rental property details.  Takes more than 1 hour to prepare, needs to be reviewed by a Senior Practitioner

Carpenter with cheque butts and bank statements

Small – Category 2

Small company with a few employees.  Accounts either by cash book or on MYOB, Quicken or spreadsheet.  Must involve interim accounts.

Medium

Medium company with a reasonable number of employees, computer accounts.

Large

Large company involves monthly, quarterly and interim accounts.
